• Retention: weigh 18 g in, weigh what comes out, 5 runs averaged.
• Noise: dB meter at 1 m while grinding 18 g.
• Speed: seconds to grind 18 g at an espresso setting.
• Taste: the same beans and machine across every grinder, dialed to 1:2 in 25–32 s.
